I have a 1999 Johnson 2 stroke oil injected on our pontoon. Have not owned it that long but so far I really like it.

I have a 200o Johnson 25 hp 2-stroke on the my flat. Just the basic pull start, not t/t and no oil injection but I have not had to do a thing to it. Runs great but it does seem to smoke more than other motors I have owned. Pulled it out of the shed today, first time since the end of duck season and two pulls had her off and running.

I own 2000 Johnson 70! great motor good high & low ends! I change lower unit once a year, plugs so far every other year even tho they look great. We troll crankbaits with it. Very happy with it. Mine is a silver/gray in color, Johnson had some problems with there paint jobs in 2000! I repainted mine!!

I have had my 2000 50hp since 2002 and, until recently, have had no problems….

Just last year I have had the oil horn go off occasionally but even if I have to buy a new fuel-VRO pump ($300)(and I don’t think it will be that right now) but even if it is,it’s still not bad for 8 years.

Overall I’ve been happy with it.

Phil is right about the paint though

I would say good. I have a couple 2000 merc’s. A 150 2 stroke and a 9.9 four stoke. Do you know the hours? Also those that come from down south where they can use them more offen aways have a lot of hours on them.
