I bought my first brand new boat last year, and it has a 150hp Yamaha 4 stroke. It was broke in to the letter, but i didn’t do the 10 hr dealer check that was recomended. I just winterized (plugs, oils, gas, batteries, ect). I wanted to do it this spring, but have called 2 different places and was told if i winterized and it runs fine just go fish. Any advice on that line of thinking? I’m all for saving a buck, but not at the expense of my baby.

My trip to the dealer was a complete waste of time. Go fish.

    Should be good to go.

Did you put in new plugs aready?

I would think they should last a while in a 4 stroke

    Great motor

Thanks! That puts my mind at ease-and the pocket book too. Looks like it’s time to drop off the kid at Grandma and Grandpas in Alma and hit the Pool 4.

I would go out and buy $100 worth of crank baits on the money you saved by winterizing yourself.
