Lowrance has started shipping the LMS 480 and the GlobalMap 4800 to retailers and distributors. Also, comparable Eagle models have begun shipping. We’ll all be waiting for the new color models a bit longer. They haven’t given a specific date yet.
Also, the Humminbird Matrix 67 is now released and available at most retailers. Humminbird has not given the release date for their Matrix 97 color unit yet.
Garmin has started shipping the new GPSMAP 60C color handheld GPS. These are in stock at most retailers now. The GPSMAP 60CS is supposed to start shipping mid to late February. Both models have 56 MB of internal memory which is pretty amazing in a handheld unit.
I’m not sure when Garmin is going to start shipping the new Fishfinder 250/250C, the GPSMAP 172C, or the GPSMAP 178C. When I have more news I will update you all here.
Not exatcly related to this, but the newer Minn Kota 74 Autopilot and 74 PowerDrive are widely distributed now. I’m guessing these will have a lot of fishermen interested, especially on the river.
Now let’s just hope for a little warmer weather so we can start getting boats rigged up and ready to go!
