Looks logical, waiting to hear from someone who has used one. Pretty good coin

I like the idea! You’d think the opposite spool rotation would make thumbing the cast a little less forgiving and more touchy though. One thing is for sure, a radial change like this is one of the most innovative things to come along in a baitcaster and hopefully will spur other manufacturers on to some new radical innovations.

Interesting design, might have to give one a try. We have already been getting requests at out store. Seems a little pricey for this reel but time will tell.

I have to say that I am skeptical at best. While the idea seems to have merit there are a couple fundamental issues. First, the line coming from the bottom still rides against the bar which is metal. The idea that there is no obstruction is false, there is, its in the form of guided vs a fixed. I am sure there is some benefit but the amount is likely minimal. The fact that the line guide is not fixed does more for me in the sense that line is less apt to have binding especially when you deal with braided line. This might be a great innovation but I doubt I will throw down the $250 until the “kids” put it through the ringer. If in 2 years from now they have the same dependability as our old reliable then I will likely jump on board.. Guess that gives me 2 years to save… Can’t wait for the reports.

Yeah, I am not jumping on board until I hear it user tested. But I do that with just about everything. I love the internet. So I ma glad to hear there are already requests. Hopefully it won’t be long before we start hearing things.

Personally I am more concerned with accuracy and backlash prevention, than distance. So if the reports are longer casts at the expense of both or even one of these, I might have to pass. What about the manufacturers other reels, anyone use them? How are they? Quality is a big factor too and I am already set in a couple brands.
