I just bought a spool of 10/4 Sufix Fuse in bright orange today for my jiggin stick. Seems to be the same stuff as Fireline which I use (maybe not anymore) but about $3 cheaper per spool. It comes in a smoke blue or bright orange instead of the neon yellow, crystal, or black. Anybody used this stuff or is it that new. And whats the difference between Sufix Siege and Elite. Either of these similar to Berkley sensation.

I have it spooled on one of my jigging rods, but I have only used it one time, and I liked it a lot. The orange really is easy to see for bites. Doesn’t seem to have any line memory, so I would say so far so good. I plan on fishing again this week with it, so I may have more to add later in the week.

Hmmmm…haven’t heard of this stuff before, but I’ll definitely be trying it. Mainly because of my success with Sufix Elite, which is the best crappie line I’ve ever used. Thanks for the heads up.

I misread his post. I have Suffix performance braid not Fuse, so my comments would pertain to that not Fuse. Sorry I was confused.

Sufix Performance Braid is a braided (woven) line, much like other braided lines, i.e. Fireline. I like it much better than the others (maybe even Power Pro, which I also use a lot!) because of its soft, supple nature, even in cold weather, something that the others don’t do for me. Their Digital Braiding® process produces a tighter braid pattern that resists unwinding or separation. It is a very tough line. I use 6# for most everything.

The only negative so far is the Flo Orange dye on the line “washes out” after a few days of fishing.

Sufix Performance Fuse is thermally fused (bonded) fishing line. The bonding process eliminates strand separation and allows this stuff to cast a mile, but it seems a tad stiffer. I haven’t fished it yet so we’ll see how it works in the water. It has a really ultra fine diameter too. I will test the Fuse I got from Dean in a couple months on P-4!
