Hands down the best mono that I have seen as far as durability, sensativity, memory is Stren Magna thin and Magnaflex. Early season I use 4-6 lb magnathin, basically jig fishing then as the fish move to deeper structure I go with the Magnathin 8lb or Magnaflex 6lb.

If your looking for a limp line that has a small diameter but very strong, look at the Stren Magnathin.
You will be amazed with both of these lines especially with the lack of memory. Give Stren a try, as the commericial says “you should have used Stren” I’d Agree.

Out of curiosity, has anyone heard what Berkley plans to do with the Stren product line? Leave it as is or “pull a Normark” and buy them up and shut them down to eliminate product competition with their own fishing lines?

I always use Berkely Vanish. I know there are a lot of people that don’t like it but I use it year around and it is great stuff for me. Never had a problem with it and I do a fair amount of fishing. I know P-Line is good stuff, but Vanish has always been cheaper. I have not loyalty to any of these companies, I am not sponsored by either of them.

I recently purchased some of the Ande envy green hi vis line out of bass pro in the 6lb test. I’m going to give it a go here on up and coming trips to see how it performs.

Anyone else have experience with this line? I would like to hear them if so.

The price is right to at around $10.00 for 1,800 yards
