anyone know where I can get a 4 blade low pitch prop for a 2003 Merc 9.9 Bigfoot kicker motor? I have been wanting something that has less pitch than the stock prop as I use the motor alot for trolling and want better control than what I am getting with the curren prop. Thanks a bunch for the info. Rick

Like I’m sure you know, there’s not a lot of choices for that particular lower unit. Found this Piranha, which has different pitch blades available down to 5″ pitch.

Quicksilver makes a 4 blade now for that motor. I’ve sold a couple of those they do work alot better on that motor compared to the stock 3 blade.

Propmann, thanks for jumping in. I was actually going to suggest taking the current Pro-Kicker 4-blade, and having you “re-hub” it, but my guess is that would be kinda expensive.

The pro kicker prop won’t, fit it is to big of a prop, Trust me we tried that option. Quicksilver just can out with a prop that fits that motor in a 4 blade this last summer. I want to say it a 8.75″ x 6 if my memory is right.

OK, after all, you’re the “Propmann”! I thought the 9.9 BigFoot models used a 10″ diameter class prop, like off a 25hp or so. Sounds like you’ve been down this road before.
    Talk later, HRG

So would I be looking into the same one for my 2000 Merc 9.9 bigfoot?
    Thanks
