Flat Rap

    It was a good fall for jerkbaits and I just got my first look at the new Rapala Flat Rap. I was wondering if anyone had a chance to fish them?

    How far I’ve fallen! A new Rapala jerkbait is out and I haven’t even heard about it?!

    Any pics on that new one?

    I can’t say this pic is all that revealing. Jon, how do they fish? Nice and tight or wider / slower shimmy?

    As for this particular perch pattern… I wish rapala would make it available in the husky jerk line.

    I agree with you… I wish they would offer that color pattern for the HJs too!

    James,

    This fall it wasn’t what you would expect,it fast and eratic. Who knows what they will want next year. I’m guessing the flat sides may produce more flash.

    I know it’s definitely not the same, but have you guys ever tried the glass perch? It’s been my experience that the glass colors work a whole lot better when it’s sunny out. Especially that glass minnow.

    Yup, fished them quite a bit. The glass perch has had its nights but it has never grown to be one of my go-to colors. But I do have them all. Except for the flat rap. But I’m sure I’ll find a way to remedy that by spring.
