I just received my copy of the Lakemaster-Wisconsin chip for Humminbird fishing systems. All of the Humminbird-exclusive cartography features that we’ve been discussing this fall make this GPS map chip a must-have addition to the electronics arsenal of Wisconsin anglers. To learn more about those features, check out the link below:

    Humminbird-exclusive cartography features from Lakemaster

The Lakemaster-WI chip for Humminbird fishing system boasts 285 total lakes, with 125 being Lakemaster high-definition PROMAP lakes. You can check out the lake list at the link below:

Below is a quick screen capture from the WI chip, showing a portion of lower Pool 4 near Wabasha. Note the presence of all of all of the wingdams (thin black lines extending from shore) that make this portion of the river so darn fishy!

I’ll be running Lakemaster chips in all of my Humminbird units, so if anyone has any questions about the chips, the lakes that are present, or how to best use the Humminbird-exclusive cartography features to maximize your angling success, please let me know!

    Good to know!!

How detailed are the depth markings along the shore of Lake Michigan? (Racine / Milwaukee / Sheboygan area / Algoma area)… How about Green Bay?

I picked up my Rainy / LOW chip from the Lakemaster website just last week. Arrived two days after I place the order. NICE!

    Thanks Jason!

Here are a couple of quick screen captures from Lake Michigan/Green Bay.

Below is just off Milwaukee at 3 different zoom levels. These appear to be 5 foot contours.

Here’s the shipping channel running through the lower portion of Green Bay. These appear to be 3-foot contours.

Jason I’m chomping at the bit to pick one of these up but it seems like HB isn’t releasing the update for the 997 which would permit its use.

    Have you heard anything?

Humminbird has been saying all fall that the 997 updates (as well as updates for a whole host of other Humminbird systems) are due after the first of the year.
