I’ve been fishing Lunds for the past 20 years. I need to get a larger boat and have found a excellent used Alumacraft Tournament Pro 195 CS Elite Series. The acessories and storage have everything I need and it looks great(OK it’s not Red). Anyone out there care to comment on this model/brand?

I have had 2 Alumacrafts, and loved them both
bhs91Posts: 47September 16, 2009 at 4:09 pm #804697I have a Navigator 175 tiller and will for sure get another Alumacraft when i decide to upgrade! Great boat!
September 16, 2009 at 4:15 pm #804700I have owned 2 Alumacrafts too. They ride a little nicer than the Lunds IMHO. Lund seems to have more models set up the way I like to fish, Alumacraft has 2 – The Trophy and the Tournament Pro. Durability, ride, value and resale – at least equal to Lund. Go get it.
September 16, 2009 at 4:39 pm #804707I’m selling my Trophy190 due to economic situation (laid off) but my next boat will no doubt be an Alumacraft. Been on Lake Michigan, LOW, Mille Lacs, Tonka & never had a worry about safety or performance.

September 16, 2009 at 4:39 pm #804708I’ve had an Alumacraft since ’04 and love it. If the accessories and setup fit, you won’t be disappointed with the performance of the boat.

September 16, 2009 at 5:28 pm #804717The next time you go out fishing take a look around and notice that alumacraft has pretty much dominated the market in the area. They are some of the best boats available and for the price even the first time boater can afford them. You cant go wrong with an alumacraft…
September 16, 2009 at 5:46 pm #804723I had a tourney Alumacraft, amongst the many models and brands including Lund,it was the best aluminum boat I owned.Although since going to glass,I dont see myself going back to tin in that size boat,I recognize not everyone is a glass candidate.I think you will be very happy with it and Alumacraft was very good to work with as well!
September 16, 2009 at 6:02 pm #804730Bought a Tournament Pro 175 a few years back. One of the best purchases I ever made!
John SchultzInactivePortage, WIPosts: 3309September 16, 2009 at 6:29 pm #804735I bought an alumacraft last spring. Love it so far. Zero problems. Buddy of mine has been running the same alumacraft 19 footer for 15 years or more and its still going strong.
September 16, 2009 at 6:46 pm #804744Great info guys, looks like I’ll be the proud owner of a 195 Alumacraft. My brother will enjoy my smaller Pro V.
September 16, 2009 at 8:18 pm #804771With a name of “Alumanator” that’s all I have to say about that.
September 16, 2009 at 8:36 pm #804774I owned a Tournament Pro 175 and do believe Alumacrafts are some of the better built boats out there available. If I was you, I would give it a good looking-over, and if it checks out, I wouldn’t shy away from it at all. Great boats.
September 16, 2009 at 10:11 pm #8047832nd year in a navigator 175 and love it great versatile boat for fishing and also works great for tubing and cruising with the family
September 16, 2009 at 10:13 pm #804784we never did hear back from that idiot a while back with the post bashing alumacraft did we
September 17, 2009 at 2:11 am #804807Bought my current Alumacraft about five years ago now, and it’s still treating my well. It’s a little more beat up now, mostly ice chunks on the river chasing winter ‘eyes, but it’s been a great boat! When I upgrade in the next year or two, it will still be an Alumacraft, just a little bigger. Good fishing, hope you enjoy it!
September 17, 2009 at 3:53 am #8048201983 Alumacraft 175 Trophy here, little aged but all original yet no leaks and catches fish. She’ll be needing a new home soon upgrading to glass, I’ll miss her the best boat I have ever had so far.
September 17, 2009 at 1:18 pm #804842I’ve never trailered a 19’7″ boat down the road with the weight of a 150 merc and a 9.9 merc big foot. It coming with a single axle trailer shorelander with 14″ tires. The axle has been moved quite a ways up to get the correct hitch weight. Shouldn’t this be sitting on a dual axle trailer?

It was a post with very little fact! I would not even bother reading it. And this is from someone who does not own a Alumacraft.

John SchultzInactivePortage, WIPosts: 3309September 17, 2009 at 6:58 pm #804930Nice rig. I believe you will be very happy with it, even with those black motors on it.
September 17, 2009 at 10:40 pm #804970I have a trophy 190 and really love it! It rides great in heavy weather and I can still use it in pretty shallow river.
September 18, 2009 at 1:12 am #804983Congratulations!! Looks like that boat was kept in very good condition. Good luck with your fishing!

Back In BlackSeptember 24, 2009 at 5:48 pm #806320Nice looking rig, congrats. I have owned both Alumacraft and Lund boats and currently have 2 Alumacrafts and love them. One is a flat that I bought new in 97 and the other is an ’04 Navigator 175. I love the Nav 175 for the room, the ride and the storage. I hope you will enjoy your new rig too.
