I am looking at purchasing a kicker motor that has a panther lift on it. Other that allowing you to have power assist is their any other adavantage to using a panther lift? Do they take some weight displacemt off the transom? Have people had good luck with this product or should you avoid this and go with a kicker that has a built in power tilt and trim? The unit is an 06 Model, are they easy to install?

I looked into the Panther, but cringed every time I thought of my $2500 kicker bouncing on a plate whenever the trailer hits a bump at highway speeds. IMHO – if you CAN mount it on the transom, do it. Tilt or no tilt.

I have a 35 on my Warrior and love it. It has it’s own controls though. Not a tiller handle…so I imagine a tiller may be different as it is farther off the transom.
