I found the neatest ice fishing combo bag at Hooked On Fishing in Rochester this weekend. Its called DeNeveu Creek Tackle Tote by HT. Its about 3 feet long and the main part of the bag will hold your 4 ice fishing rods in place with velco strips. It has another zippered part of the bag on each side which is almost as long to hold your ice hole scooper or more rods along with plenty of room for small plastics boxes of ice fishing lures, line and alot of other goodies. This bag has a handle to carry it and also a shoulder strap too. Great tote bag with lots of room for all your ice fishing goodies, sharp looking in black with gold lettering and Mike is selling them for only 24.99 for the tote bag. Carrying all your stuff just got so much easier.

    Thanks, Bill

Hey Bill I can get all that stuff in a 5 gal. bucket and use a piece of rope for a shoulder strap and also have something to sit on. Most buckets are free.

Hey Bill! Is this the one you were talking about?

If it is, it’s a great idea!

My problem is (one of them) that when I go ice fishing, I only take along what I’m going to need i.e. never take along tipups. Of course when I get there, I need what I don’t have! I normally put everything in my pale, then untangle lines and lures once I get into position. Put all my junk in the tote and then in the pail (on top of the Vexilar) no more messes… One other thought about these is that in the spring…everything is together for storeage. I put the rods – here and the “kesser” my little german word for ice scoop – there, well you get it…it’s all over the garage.

    Do they charge for shipping?

The one I’m talking about has three seperate compartments instaed of just one compartment. Things are kept seperate that way. And much better organized that a plain bucket to throw your stuff into and watch it get all tangled up. Thanks, Bil
