Mercury rev limiter Switch

    Does any body know where this module is on a 2002 4 stroke 115 hp engine.

    My owner manual states a range of 5000 to 6000 max rpm, I believe my switch is activating at 5500 rpm. I would like to see the part # so I could tell which module I have.

    I think it may tell you the max RPMS on the tag on the motor where it tells you the Serial Number?????

    Probably is in the ECM Engine Control Module,or brains of the engine

    Thats kind of what I am thinking. I have looked all over and just cant find it.
