Anyone running an Alumacraft tournament sport? If so how do you like it, what do you like and what aren’t you as happy with? I have come across a repo and even though I wasn’t planning on a “new” boat I am really tempted.

    Thanks

Just make sure you don’t run too fast across the north bay. It is hard on props.

I love it, bought it last June. I am running a 150 four stroke goes 47 mph with a full tank of gas and 2 guys with gear per GPS. Lots of storage for rods and gear. If you have any questions PM me and I will give you my phone #

    Kevin,

I hear you on the north bay comment. Smart Aleck! I am still amazed I smacked into something where I did. That was a $150 prop lesson. I have been back over that trail slowly twice since I can’t seem to pick up anything on the locator that should have caused the problem.

    Man that day stunk.

I can’t help you on the boat opinion…but is there a repo site that you search? I never thought of looking at repo boats.

I would make sure and have it checked out before you buy it, if money was that tight, I be concerned that proper maintence didn’t get done.

My son has one of these, powered by a Suzuki 140 four-stroke. I have fished with him on small lakes, rivers and Lake Michigan and Superior. I’ve been impressed with this boat, very solid in rough water, and a good ride. It has lots of storage, especially the center rod locker. I think he’s happy with his purchase after three or four years.

All the Tournament Sport boats we have sold are very much enjoyed by our customers. The last one has been all over; Canada, Dakotas, Missouri. He tows it behind a big bus/motorhome and goes all over with it. One of my other customers ran into him up in Canada and talked to him about Alumacrafts. Then he saw his mud flaps with our name. Small world indeed.

I have a TS 185 2007 w/ 150 yam. Love the rod storage compared to my past lunds. Lots of storage good ride
handled 5 footers on mille lacs well but no fun to be in that kind of wind no matter what you have. I have gotten an even 50gps mph with 2 guy’s going down stream on the river but 48 is the norm.
