My friend is looking to buy a new depth finder for his boat. I don’t know much about them so I thought I would ask on here for some help. My friend is looking to spend around 500$ on a fish finder. He wants to have one that has a gps and pretty decent for graphing fish. Any suggestions on brands, models, where to buy or anyother features that he should look into before buying one in that price range or if it’s even possible.

    Thank you for any help,

    Chris

    I suggest a Lowrance LMS 522c

Talk to Wade at JollyAnn Marine (SITE SPONSER)

He will take care of you

    Lowrance 520c $500/ HSD-5 is $600 = cabelas
Then chip for gps Navionics or lakemaster–$100 min
navionics had more lakes, but the lakes LM has are generally better maps.
I would also reccomend a RAM mount too.
All said probly around $700 for 100% set up.

The LMS522c-gps is awesome! I asked the same question about 3 months ago and that seemed to be the majority vote. If you’ve never fished with a gps/fishfinder combo before, you will be kicking yourself for not having invested in one a long time ago.
