Any one been able to put any of these rods to use yet? I am looking at picking up one of the Drop Shot rods. I am curious as the performance of this rod in correlation to the walleye series rigging rods. Ill be using it primarily for drop shoting bass and rigging for eyes with jigging for eyes in second to these two.

I have one of these drop shot rods and it works pretty well. I like the fuji guides that allow some flex in teh rod bend that isn’t there wiht the normal guides. These also nice if you accidently step on them, the flex allows damage not to happen. The two issue with this rods are this: these guides will freeze up a ton quicker in colder weather and when running braid (I run braid to a swivel and then floro to the hook sinker) the line running through the guides make some noise not normally heard when using the standard guides.
These rods are very light and the ‘feel’ is very sensitive. I give these rods

They are not a bad rod but the Av’s and HMG’s are a much better rod in my opinion. Everybody is different on what they like.

I have several and will probably add more. I feel they are much better than the AV. I have two AV’s and don’t like them at all. Until I got the Elite Tech’s, I used St.Croix’s for almost everything. These are now my backup rods. My sponsor has said they have never sold as many Fenwick rods as they are right now. I would definitely try them.
