My Lowrance is busted Junk

    I bought a new LCX-38c HD last summer and it worked great. So far this spring it seams like I am getting alot of interference and it freezes up at a certain depth. I checked the transducer and the connections and they all look good. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. I was hoping i wouldn’t have to send it in. It would be the 3rd new lowrance that I bought in the last 3 years and they all have needed to be repaired.

    I had the same problem, adjusted the ping speed and all is good again! Read your user manual and it tells ya how to adjust the ping.

    Mine would freeze up at a shallow depth as well, ran the latest update, all is well.

    I have a new 27 with similar issues; flashing depth reading and locking up all in shallow water under 10 feet. I’m going to update to the Beta version, 2.4.2 and see what happens.

    The 38 also has a beta.

    I have a new 27 with the same issues – uploaded the beta- same problem. Lowered my transducer 1/4″ works fine…
