lc x-25

I have a 332 up front and this x-25 in dash. The 332 reads fish like crazy and very clear. The lc x-25 is a joke. Why so much difference? It was a special at Cabelas for around 799. I guess you get what you pay for.

Have you checked to see if it needs updated software? You can check for available updates at Lowrance.com. They are easy to do but I would make sure to read and follow all of their instructions. If there’s something you don’t understand then don’t do it. Now that you are registered here at IDO you’ll be able to ask all the questions you want and get some great advise. Welcome to the site.

I agree with Ben. I had an X-25 and had problems marking fish until I updated the software. I downloaded the update from Lowrance, but I know some places will update the unit for you.

Thanks. I did have the old software and just finished downloading the new update. Can’t wait to see if it works better. Hard to believe that is the case but i’ll find out.

Also check the “sonar settings” and the transducer.
