I’m looking into these glasses now that my arms aren’t long enough anymore. Any recommendations? Also, where can I purchase them, I need to find some big enough for my large melon.

I have the same problem with my arms being too short I use the “Fitovers” glasses, they are very comfortable and as a plus they keep the wind out when running. I got mine at the sports show in Mpls.
April 6, 2009 at 12:43 pm #766042I got a copy of my prescription and ordered action optics brand. I have been pleased with them. I used fit overs for years but they scratch so easily. The action are glass lenses

April 6, 2009 at 12:46 pm #766044I use stick on bi focal lenses on my sunglasses http://www.optx2020.com. Found the fit overs to bulky and the glasses with the built in cheaters to expensive and very low quality. JC

April 6, 2009 at 2:04 pm #766071I’ve been having the same difficulty and have tried a variety of things. I recently saw an infomercial for some called HD Readers that are sunglasses with a built in bifocal (split lense), but I can’t find anything about whether they are polarized or not. I picked up a pair of sunglasses at Gander Mouintain that had a small magnifying (reader) lense built into the bottom of the lense, but they seemed to get in the way so I don’t use them much. For the time being I’m using the clunking ones that fit over my presciption bifocasls. Various brands available and I have several of them. I’ve not been willing to bite the bullet and order my prescription as sunglasses. The last quote was almost $400 and I can get a bunch of fishing stuff for that.
April 6, 2009 at 2:50 pm #766090I recently ordered a pair of ‘script glasses with no line cheaters that feature Transition lenses. these lenses aren’t like the photo gray lenses of old. they are made out of plastic now and are much lighter. I hope to wear them for day to day activities and fishing. One draw back is they don’t get dark while in a car or other enclosed places. They are very expensive but you are getting sunglasses/regular glasses in one. I have two other pair of prescription sunglasses. When you spend that kind of money on them you tend to take really good care of them.
April 6, 2009 at 3:24 pm #766098I’m pretty sure that Chris Tuckner has a pair of Costa’s with the cheaters built in. I’ll get him to reply on this thread.

April 6, 2009 at 4:05 pm #766114Learned this one the hard way: If getting prescription lenses to be fitted to frames: Make sure not to get too extreme of a bend in the frames you choose, otherwise the lens will distort hard because the prescription is stretched. Felt like beer goggles when it happened to me.
April 6, 2009 at 4:58 pm #766142I do have the Costas with cheaters in them and LOVE them. I got the 480 Fathom’s. Dean at Evert’s can get them for you. I cannot live without them!!!

They make you look blurry from a distance, so I LOVE them!
