Hey guys, just looking for a little help locating this. I have a 03 yama 4 stroke. Used to always get my oil at Napa and filter at 61 marine here on the se side of town. I run Amsoil 0-40 grade and used to pay 4 bucks quart. Now (this year) its is 9.50 a quart down there!!!!! is that right???? Also anyone know where to find a filter here on the e side of town. I just ran down to the place here last night and there not selling them anymore Sure dont like to make things easy.

I switched to Mobile 1 for my 2004 f75 Yami.

You can get your filter at Napa too. The OEM Denso made Yamaha 5GH-13440-00 filter can be cross referenced to the Napa Gold #1358. Or, if you have a nearby auto parts store that carries Wix filters you can use Wix #51358. Both are the same filter.

As for the synth if you find a better price let me know! I get mine at Fleet Farm.

You can also check Ericksons Marine, I’d give them a call first to not waste a trip.

If that Wix number is good, the Fram 6017A or Purolator ML16817 will also fit. The Fram can be found in Fleet Farm’s atv filter section. Same thing fits my Yammi F115 jerr

I’m probably going to get jumped all over for this, but I was told NOT to run synthetic in my 4 strokes. Instead, I use what I run in all my engines-Rotella 15-40 and in cooler weather Rotella 10-30. I was at Menards the other day and saw they were selling it in 3 gallon lots @ just under $10/gallon. I run the Rotella in my 2 diesels and beater car so I guess I’ll go load up jerr

Now, just because that is what you do and it has worked for you, shouldn’t subject you to being bashed. If something works for you, then stick with it. Rotella is a good oil and it has been around for a lot of years.

But, synthetic oils are great for 4 stroke applications from sleds to boats, to cars and diesel trucks. And just like someone told you not to, I try to tell people to use them…I have used them in all the above applications and have had great luck with them.
