What is the difference between the bow mount Maxxum Pro and the Fortex?

I have had both. The Fortex has a different arm/bracket and has the assist lift. Bought a new boat and haven’t got to use it yet but like the way it looks. Also went with the built in transducer. There are 2 reviews on the Cabelas web site on the Fortex.

I may be wrong on this, but a feature on the Fortex is that you can leave the pedal unattended while in waves and it will keep the direction in which the arrow is pointed.

I know my Max. starts to flop all around if I leave the pedal in waves.

Exactly the reason I went to a terrova, with autopilot, much, much easier to hold a spot, and you can get your own bait, with the maxxum you cannot leave it unattended when it’s on, unless maybe you are in the perfect windless/currentless spot.
