Lowrance 522 and Wingdams help needed

I have a lowrance 522 using a Navionics chip. When I updated the software from version 2.1 to 2.3 my wingdams changed from a black line to a creamy color. I have since updated to version 2.4 and still the same way. It is nearly impossible to see the creamy colored wingdams with the blue water background. Lowrance has been of little help and say they didn’t change anything related to this with the software updates. Since there are lots of river people on here, is this a common problem with your similar units? Any ideas on what to do? I think I can get them to send me the old version of software and re-load it but I like a few of the enhancements of the newer software.

    Thanks

I would PM Wade Kuehl at Jolly Anne Marine.

Gomer, That’s a new one to me. I wish I had some advice for you but other than trying to work it out with Lowrance I don’t know what to tell you that would be helpful.

Anyone else experience anything like this before?

Have you tried night mode for the display?

Nick, I have tried everything imaginable with the settings that I can think of.

I was at Cabelas a couple weeks ago and the Navionics rep was there and he seemed to know about this problem and the local Lowrance rep standing next to him didn’t seem to care. Kinda aggrevating.

Wade, Thanks for the follow up. I sent you a PM and email earlier today. Would you have any connections with someone at Lowrance that I could call rather than the normal “support” people?

Has anyone else updated their software on any Lowrance units that fishes the Mississippi notice anything similar?

    thanks
