I basically been running 6lb mono for my jigging rods. I’m not to familiar with floro. Can I get away with 4lb floro and have the same strength? I know that with the bigger lb test line it would make a differents but with the smaller lb test will it make that much change? Or should I just stay with mono?

For jigging I would stay with mono.

I prefer a super line for jigging, I seem to have better feel, and can really get the diamater down to use smaller jigs if need be. Just my .02

u get better feel with floro over mono I use 10# power pro w a 6′ section of floro 10# for vertical jigging and could feel even little saugers in 40-50′ of water. A couple of years ago I went to floro over mono for clear water smallies and thier is a definent advantage in less visibility of floro
