Wanted : Deer Rifle

I am in the market for a new/used deer rifle. It needs to be left handed, semi auto or lever action. Anybody have one for sale? Also, where in the south metro could a guy look at some used ones. (already been to Gander)

I won’t get a chance to check for a couple of days or so but I recently came across a left-handed Remington .30-06, bolt action, used but in real good shape. It’s in Hudson, south of exit 4, a place called the OutPost. If I recall correctly, it’s under $500.00. No scope or strap so you’d have to take care of that yourself.

I could meet you there in case there is cross-border purchasing issues. I’d buy for you…………and then you could do me the same favor because there’s a Woodbury Gander that has a gun I’d like to purchase but there’s some deal about selling to WI residents in MN.

After all this………….is it a high powered rifle you’re looking for or will you be hunting in a shotgun zone?

I appreciate the offer, I will let you know if I decide to go that route, I have a couple of shops I am going to visit this weekend. I deer hunt in northern MN and for the last few years I have borrowed a buddy’s 303 british enfield..well I missed 2 deer this year(only 2 I saw in 3 years) becuase 1) I am a terrible shot and 2) this gun has open sights and both deer were 100 yards or so away. I hunt with guys that all have scopes and can all make 150 yards shots and all got deer this year. I have been having nightmares about my missed shots and promised myself to do it right next year. right gun with lots of range time, to ensure I won’t miss next year! Problem has been finding a gun that works for lefties..

Fish&ski, I have 2 rifles that would work for you. First is a savage 110 synthetic in .260 with a simmons 3×9 scope. Gun is unfired. $325.00 second is a Browning Lever Rifle in7mm.08 with a Leapold 3×9 Vari-xIII scope.Gun is 3 yrs old. I found my “assistant” for my gun purchase yesterday. Accidently walked into “Employee Night” and Gander Mt. and instead of getting ushered out, I got an extra $50 off the clearance price and a free hardshell case!

Lots of rifles/shotguns on clearance right now………..pretty good deals to be had. This will be my first Itheca…………hope it works well for me! All I know at this point is that it wears well!
