Ideas for a mount on 14′ Lund old school….?

    I have a 1972 Lund with a 20 Merc and I need to come up with a trolling motor set-up. Any ideas how a good mounting system would be installed or ideas on size or make etc. I fish pool 4 mainly now since I’ve moved down south and I see the disadvantage I’m at. I want to be able to work the river better! Thanks any ideas are welcome

    I would go with a transom mount if I was you with the boat you have.It should be simple to set up.

    Is there a way to have a bow mount or is this not common or just happy thinking for my little lund?

    When i had a small boat, I cut a piece of plywood the shape of the vee front , screwed to the top rail with to 2 peices of angle iron in the under side. Then bolt the bowmount to the top. Just like a big lund!

    Look for a Minn-Kota 665 power drive,or one with that bracket style, you can put a 2×4 on the outside of the gunnel and it will clamp on the bow
