This year calls for new waders. I put a pretty big hole in mine last year. I fish almost exclusively for smallies. I already have wading boots that I think are the best thing going, so I need good quality sock-footed waders. Most of my wading is in the summer months and honestly I can do that without the waders. The waders are primarily for those cold water days in early or late season. And recommendations for good waders under $200. Pros and cons are welcome.

I upgraded to a breathable pair of Simms waders two seasons ago and i would never put on another type of wader again! They are comfortable in the heat of summer and i can layer up just right for those cold fall days on the Brule. I think they were right around 200 bucks and seem to be very durable.

I have some breathables from Cabelas that I like that are stocking foot. I bought in the second had return area in Prairei Du Chein for about half price and there was nothing wrong with them. Like them for summer fishing. They have a little neoprene in the front of the legs , down the calf and in the seat and they can be worn into the year and are suprising how warm they are with a fleece wading pant
