I got a pair of battery cables that charge batteries off of a Honda Generator. It says on the cables 600V / 16AWG. What does that mean? 16 Amps? Can I use these cables running my big fishhouse (heater & lights) while charging the battery. If it is 16 amp…is it considered a trickle charge?

600V / 16AWG = If I am right here it means The cable would carry 600 volts safely and is made of 16 gauge wire

16 is the gauge of the wire. 16awg wire can take a max of 11amps of power. Find out how many amps are drawing from the fish house. And make sure it does not go over that. I personally think 16 is on the small size and i would go 12-10awg. But thats just my 2 cents

The battery charging amperage will vary by the size of the generator. The EU1000 & EU2000 models output 8 amps, the EU3000 outputs 12amps.
