bow mount trolling motor questions

    Bought a brand new g3 boat a few years ago and it came with a 40 lb thrust minnkota all terrain trolling motor (couldn’t upgrade). On my other boat that is now my dads. I had a brand new minnkota all terrain 55 lb thurst. Well my dad rarely uses his boat and when he goes it’s usually with me in my boat. I’m thinking about switching them out and am tired of not having the extra thurst that I’m use too. The connections all seem to be the same. Am I going to have any problem with wiring or can I just swap out the two units and be good to go?

    They are both 12V,so you should be good to go.Mounting holes should also be the same.

    Inherited my dads 1984 Alumacraft Lunker Classic Deluxe last year. His pride and joy. Pulled off the old MinnKota 65 bow mount and put a new MinnKota Edge on. Unreal, same bolt pattern. Finally, somebody got it right.
