Has anyone ever used or modified a golf cart to use for ice fishing? I have been contemplating getting one and doing some mods on it for driving on the smaller lakes we have here in Iowa.

I put chains on mine and it went great, the only problem being the wide fronts. Would put narrow tires on the front if I did it again.

I think I would end up doing doughnuts on a slippery piece of ice some where and not get much fishing done.

If the ice wasnt too rough that would be sweet. Think of how portable you could be in luxuary. You could really rig that thing up.

I found a site that sells lift kits for them so you could put beefier tires on them!!!

Place here in New Hampton will customize your cart anyway you want it! They have the lift kits and large treaded tires. You can also get some wild paint jobs if you want.
