Lowrance 334c problem

Has anyone ever had problems with their Lowrance (particularly this model) automatically erasing icons (but not the waypoints)? This has happened a couple of times to me this winter as I have the graph rigged for ice fishing. One time I turned the unit on and all of the writing was in French which made it interesting for a few minutes until I was able to get it back to English. I have done a soft reset which didn’t seem to impact it much. It looks like I will likely have to try a hard reset but thought I’d ask if anyone else has ever had a similar problem and if there was another solution. Thanks.

Never heard of that one. I wonder if its weather related to cold or something?
Back your way-points up and try a hard Reset.

Happened 3 times to my buddy, waypoints and icons, not weather realated. He hasnt sent it in, but just reloads his waypoints from his database.
