A weird question…

Alright, this is a flat-out weird request, but bear with me.

For you dog owners, what type of poop scoop have you been happiest with?

I’ve been using a flat-shovel and a mini-rake (like a 5″ wide lawn rake) for a while and it just isn’t the greatest. There’s a lot of different scoopers out there, and rather than buy till I find a decent one, I thought I might as well ask.

It must handle Great Dane poop

Plastic bag & hand right after they go!Makes a nice hand or pocket warmer in the cooler temps.

Now if the dog is that big he needs a scoop like that your gonna need some bigger bags & even bigger pockets!

A plastic horse manure fork works great to dogs also, has large capacity and cleans with a sqwirt of the hose. Can be purchased at the “MAN STORE” (Fleet Farm).

    Good scoop’en

I use the pull handle style from Menards. I have had good luck with the plastic version, but you can upgrade to stainless. Are we really talking about this?

I’d be more than willing to supply you with all the hand warmers you’ll ever need.

I’m using a fairly heavy duty hand trowel. It’s tuff enought to chop out the poop-cycles that get froze in. I use this in conjunction with an gallon size ice cream bucket. When you can take care of them fresh, it’s just a quick flip of the wrist and into the bucket. When froze, a couple chop-chops and flip into the bucket. It’s the best system I have come up with. Good Luck!

And….. when they cool off you can heat them back up in the microwave over and over.

I wouldnt mind a few & I will share mine with Blue. Just think if you had a Great Dane & took him ice fishing your hands might never get cold. They go enough to keep your hands warm for HOURS!

I just use a shovel and with a quick scoop…the FW generally gets it on the first try. Tosses it into the fire pit and it’s a done deal till spring.

BTW…April 15th everyones invited over for schmoors.
