GPS location on stationary spot “wanders”

Finally got the LCX-27c color connected to the network successfully with the 135 on the front. Thanks to everyone who responded and gave advice. During my numerous talks with Lowrance it was discovered that the wiring diagram for the 135 as posted on their website was backwards, which was #1 confusing, and #2 probably raised some eyebrows here…Regardless, things are up are running great and I again appreciate everyone’s assistance. Now, however, I have a question about the GPS. I have it hooked up and it does read my location, however when I zoom in to a closer view the GPS arrow wanders around even though the boat is
stationary (testing in the garage). I also tried it with the puck outside and it does the same thing. Has anyone ever had any trouble like this? I have a Lowrance hand-held H2OC GPS device and it never “wandered” like this.

I don’t think it’s an issue. Every lowrance GPS I’ve owned will “wander” when sitting in one spot. You really notice it if you zoom in and your tracking. After a few minutes the screen will look like spaghetti. Both my lowrance graph/gps’s and my H20c do it. My h2o will wander quite a bit, especially in the woods under the canopy.

It will do it more if you don’t have a good lock on sats…like in the garage or when it first locks on and signal isn’t real strong yet.

This might not be normal and there might be a setting to adjust?? But, I don’t find it a issue.

In my opinion what happens is even though our receivers are WASS enabled they are not 100% perfect. The receiver is still updateing so many times a second any veriation in the received signals atomosphere changes, receiver timing calculations, any small variance moves the receivers location.
