For Skeeter boat owners that fish qualified tournaments you can now register for Skeeter cash. For $25 you get a nice hat, sticker, patch and a large 35 inch Skeeter sticker for your truck and a chance to win extra cash in tournaments.I just got mine in the mail. The sticker alone is $20 so its a pretty good deal even if you dont fish tournaments.Registration and information is on their website.

I have enclosed the link for the Skeeter Real Money. This link will also show the tournaments that qualify for the real money. Your dealer can help get tournaments registered if they are not. The 2009 list will be out shortly. Have Fun Fishin. http://www.skeeterboats.com/events/real_money/
February 6, 2009 at 11:42 am #745305This years Freeze Your Butt tourney qualifies for Skeeter Real Money! A awesome opportunity for a fun $20 tourney.
There will be a few more additions to be announced this year down here in the Pool 4 area including our Saugerama in Oct.February 6, 2009 at 10:21 pm #745497As a Skeeter owner,…. If you want to register, I’d suggest you read the fine print first. The “big” money only goes out to persons with new rigs – or rigs generally not over 3 years old. Older rigs could win far less than advertised in the “Real Money” deal – if they/you “win.”
If you fish the MTT, because Skeeter sponsors the tournament, you can win Skeeter cash even without entering the $25.00 – “Real Money” deal too – similar to what the FLW does with the Ranger $$$,…. all-be-it, the money is far less than Ranger gives out in most of their deals.
SplitshotFebruary 6, 2009 at 11:37 pm #745516Lets see for $25 they send you back more than $25 in product then you have a chance to win $1000-$3000 extra if you win a qualifying tournament. What a rip off The MTT pays $100 for 1 day tournaments and I think a little more for 2 day tournaments for the 2 top Skeeter boat finishers. If you win the tournament you would get both.Ranger may pay more but where do you think that money comes from?Lets see a 21 foot Skeeter costs about 45K and a 21 foot Ranger 60K+ I dont think Forest is giving away his own money and neither is Skeeter/Yamaha for that matter.

February 7, 2009 at 1:03 am #745536Thanks Castaway and Dan Meyer for posting the Skeeter Real Money promotion! Another good incentive to take a serious look at Skeeter boats!
February 7, 2009 at 2:58 pm #745681Wait a minute Castaway!! Before you slam me,…. Know that I’m not nocking the Real Money deal that Skeeter has – at all. I subscribed for the first two years I owned my 1880 too. The point I’m making is, for the $25.00 entry, unless you’re big into getting a hat and a sticker, your odds go way down and the “Real” payout is not that great on an older rig. All I’m saying is consider the “real-reality” too.
My comparison to Ranger had nothing to do with who makes a better boat, or who’s is more expensive, or who’s is faster, or who’s boat company is bigger, or who’s boat company has been around longer, etc. My point is/was, for $25.00, the odds and the cash arn’t really that good for us longtime owners. Fact is, I still have my 1880 and I love it. Besides it’s quality and fishability, one reason I bought it was because nobody else on the water had them and I wanted something different. It appears now though, that they are a hot commodity (belly button’ish) and if I still want to be different, I may have to go back to a flatbottom.
SplitshotFebruary 9, 2009 at 12:13 am #746069Hmmm here I was thinking you were a Ranger guy jk Not slaming you I guess I just dont get it.My boat only Qualifies for $1000 this year but for the $25 I get a $20 Skeeter truck sticker and some other stuff and a chance at an extra $1000 if I were to win.Seems like a no brainer to me but I will fish at least 7 MTTs.I would still do it if I only fished one.I might even do it if I didnt fish any and wanted a Skeeter decal for my truck.Ya its not easy to win but it can happen.I think? the Ranger cup pays more but only if you fishing the FLW tour.No big deal just thought I would post it for the Skeeter guys out there and there are getting to be a lot more of them.
