I need to replace the graph on the boat this next spring. I’m thinking about getting a 27C. I’d like to hear from anyone who has this unit about what they like and don’t like about it. I’d also be interested in any other suggestions anyone has in the same price range. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and responses.

The 27 is a nice unit and there might be some good deals on them if they arent sold out.The new HD units would be another option with the built in broadband sounder but you may have to get a smaller screen to get the same price.

I have a 25c (older generation of the 27, same screen size) and a 38c (same generation as the 27, bigger screen). The 27 is a quality unit. With the current pricing structure on closeout units, it’s hard to make a wrong decision.

I’d recommend that you check with Wade at Jolly Ann Marine to see if he has any closeout 27s on hand. If so…go for it!

I ran the 27c on my console all last year. (dual sonar/gps model)
Excellent unit! It has worked out very well for me.

I bought mine from Wade at Jolly Ann Marine last year. He gave me a great price and did a nice job helping me out with some of the technical stuff.

Basically, I have nothing bad to say about the LCX-27C.

I run a 27C on the bow of my boat and have had great luck with it. I have it networked with my 111 at the wheel and really like the two together. The 27 has plenty of power and the processor is plenty fast enough for map cards. The only drawback is sometimes I get a little interference on my front unit. I change the ping speed from 100% to 75% and it usually clears it right up.

There are new units coming out that are going to be better but if the price is right on the 27 then by all means it will be an outstanding unit for you. There have and will continue to be a LOT of fish caught using these units.

I’ve been running the 27c for a year, networked with a 520 on the bow. I have really had good luck with mine. Like Joel, I got mine through Wade, and he was always willing to answer my questions, and I had a lot of them. I would think you should be able to get a good deal on a 27 now that the new stuff is coming out.
