Humminbird Matrix 17 Fishing System at Humminbird’s website
Of the three newly released Humminbird electronics, the Matrix 17 may turn out to be the best value. It’s very similar to the Humminbird Fishfinder 535, but with the Matrix options. Like the 535, it has a 5″ screen and 320×320 resolution. It also has temp included, like the 535. It has a little more power, 300 Watts RMS (2400 Peak to Peak) compared to 250 Watts RMS, 2000 Watts Peak to Peak of the 535. Both are under $200. One advantage of the Matrix 17 is that it does have the GPS trackplotting capability (this option requires a separate GPS unit).
Like the Humminbird Fishfinder 535, the Matrix 17 looks to be decent unit in the under $200 price range.
