FUEL SHUT OFF AFTER FUEL-WATER SEPERATOR?

I was wondering if I need to still have a shut off valve for my main motor and kicker after the fuel water separator if I hook up both motor lines to separator? Can I just run both fuel lines from the separator as long as they both have separate primer bulbs?

I have one outlet from the separator and then a T in the
line that feeds the main and the kicker. There is not a
shutoff valve in my setup. (Dealer installed)
    Both lines have primer bulbs.

I think your idea would work fine and would eliminate
the T so you could remove the kicker if you had to without
the hassle I would encounter on my setup.

Is it just a T or a T valve? I have heard of air getting sucked in and blowing a motor without a shut off valve.

actually, putting shut-off valve(s) after the separator is not a bad idea, so you don’t have to rely on the check valve in the primer bulb. Here’s a small 1/4″ NPT ball valve, that you could screw in to the separator, then attach your line to. You’ll just have to remember to turn them back on/off when changing motors.
