I have a 997 side imaging. I am very pleased with it. you see things that you didn’t know where there. I switched from an older lowrance with no color, so I can’t say anything bad about the new lowrances. I still have the lowrance on my boat. The gps is a great feature, it works very well if you are trolling on a hump. you can track your previous route and mark all the fish you catch. lot of luck!

I attended a Humminbird Sideimaging seminar sponsored by Skeeter Boat Center a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is, “WOW.” I’ve been running Lowrance units in my boats up until now, but there will be sideimaging units in my new rig.

I dont think you can go wrong with either one.I use Lowrance but that side imaging looks interesting but I dont have any experience with it.Not sure it will put any more fish in the boat though.

I can attest to yes it will.

I can find structure that I never new was there drop way points on the perimeter. Know there is a fish crib in a general area usually within ten minutes I can nail it down, the shape and how many cribs in the area and how they are positioned. With my old Lowrance it took forever to find cribs or indvidual stumps if I could find them at all. Looking for an underwater weed line one pass I can have the outline, density and small pockets on the edge or in the middle of the weed bed. Dropping waypoints and points of interest, and the edge.

Do I like my side imaging you bet I will never have a boat with out one.
