Iron-on patch material from a fabric store on both sides

I have used super glue before on small tears. Use it sparingly and it will mend it back together nicely.

Depends on how big the tear is…
Small one… wader repair kits work great, uses an adhesive, any sporting goods store.

Medium tear… tent repair kit, also uses an adhesive, any sporting goods store that carries a good selection of tents.

Big tear… any upholstry shop should be able to help you sew a patch on it, usualy fairly affordable.

And the always quick temp fix of duct tape!

should have mentioned length of tear which is about 4 inches. appreciate everyones input. did try duct tape as quick fix, it did not stick very well, came off before I left to go fishing. thanks for options of repair.

I used the iron on ones a month ago to cover a large tear 12″. So far so good. Just remember to bring the shelter inside to warm up before using any patches or glue. gl

Check out a product called Tear Mender. It comes in a white, red blue bottle. It is next to the tarps in Fleet farm. Very good stuff. I’ve used this on many fabrics from my fish house, to jeans, to carhart’s. It truely is the Cats . Its very easy to use because you can touch it with your fingers while you use it.
