    very stupid question my auger calls for 24-1 per mix but the website only talks about 40-1 senthetic pre mix with one gallon so do run 40-1 or go off the gas tank at 24-1 thanks terry

    my Mag III calls for 24:1 and my new Jiffy calls for 40:1 but I fill them both from the same can of 60:1 Amsoil mix
    cant get myself to run at 80:1 yet

    I don’t think I’d use anything less than the manufacturers recommendation. Oil is cheap compared to engines. One ounce of oil in 23 ounces of gas can be kept in a quart oil can and will drill nearly 50 holes.

    I have a 5 year old Tecum 2 hp and I just switched to 80:1
    Amsoil says it will work and I’ve read lots of posts from people that say it works. Now I’ll prove it to myself. Only drilled about 30 holes with it so too early to exclaim victory but so far I have been impressed. It starts easier and runs very noticibly better. Time will tell.
