Mine is ordered!!! I’ve never “ordered” anything before except a couch and chair so I’m pretty jacked up.

I’ve always shook my head in disgust when someone told me they ordered a truck or boat because “off the lot” is usually a heck of alot cheaper. That being said, it was a a ton of fun to be able to pick colors, options, etc. and get EXACTLY what I wanted.

    It’s coming with:

    Tandem trailer with “Tuff Coat”

150 Yamaha with Mertens hydro steer (unless Yamaha has their power steering out before March)

    Minnkota EM 101 trolling motor

Lowrance HD 10 with glassed in transducer

    Wave Wackers

Blah, blah, blah…there isn’t much is doesn’t have.

I bought the boat from Kevin V (Crosbystick on IDO) and Farm Island Marine. I called The Skeeter Boat Center in WI but the price was close and the ease of going to Garrison vs WI made where to buy from an easy choice. Art, Deb and Kevin at FIRM were a joy to work with. It’s really nice to sit down with the owner, his wife and the sales guy to buy something!! There’s no, “lemme talk to my boss”, you’re talking directly to the people who say yay or nay and the sales guy who made all those promises, just sits there and squirms….(Sorry Kevin). Again, it was alot of fun.

Kevin is trying to talk me into to bringing it to P4 as soon as it comes in. I told him I would if Chappy was there, I owe him a trip still….

Adam. Best of luck with your Skeeter WX2000T. I have spent time in the boat when it 1st came out in Texas and being a past tiller guy, you are going to love the boat. If you’re in the Eau Claire/Chippewa area and needs some help, let me know. Again, enjoy your new boat and have fun fishin. Dan

I walk by mine parked in the garage a few times a day (WX 1880) and just can’t stand it. Even though it’s a couple of years old now, I have to stop every now and then, peek in, maybe dust it off a bit, and stand there dreaming of my next trip out. Sometimes I just have to climb in and sit there for a few minutes. It seems to help,….. just sitting in there pondering my next bite – while waiting for soft water. Sometimes I even sit there with a coule of beers. That REALLY helps. …….I hate hard water season!!
Congrats on the new rig! I know you’re going to love it. I know I do.

Now I’m heading back to the garage.

Dean has more potent weapons against boat interiors than coffee.

And don’t let Dean supervise Ritter doing any electronics wiring.

Everyone has their shortcomings. Besides, that new 20 ft tiller has so much room and stable,I bet it would be pretty tough to spill a cup of coffee!

I too am a FIRM (Art, Deb, Kevin, Rocky, Matt, Jason, etc..) believer. I bought a cabin last year about a mile from FIRM, then bought a 2008 1880 Skeeter from them, then a Floe dock, then a Floe boat lift (Glad I don’t need any snowmobiles or wheelers!!). Maybe I shouldn’t have bought a cabin so close to them! Great people to work with. Matter of fact they didn’t like a couple things on my boat from this last year, and it is now in Texas at Skeeter and I am getting everything taken care of.
I have never owned a glass boat before last summer and don’t think I will own anything but glass in the future!!
