I was cutting away this weekend, trying to prepare for Old Man Winter, and my middle finger knuckle started to feel warm. I thought nothing of it and kept cutting. Finally once the pickup was loaded I took off my glove and there was a huge blister. My question is, do you think that my saw is running hot or was the exhaust from the saw not able to escape or…? I’ve never noticed it the few times I’d used it before, but then I was only limbing and not wacking away at a 20 plus inch round oak. And yes the chain was sharp, actually right out of the box. It’s a 2159 Jonsered, 18 inch bar. Any ideas before I take it to the shop and get charged god knows what?
Chainsaw running hot or operator error?
