excess transducer cable

    I just recieved a Garmin 160C from an incentive program from my employer. I am going to install it sat, but I don’t know what to do with the excess transducer cable.

    Can I coil it up and put it out of site or do I have to stretch it out. Will it cause the unit to malfunction if coiled.
