    anyone have an opinion on the evertroll batteries?

    But… Here’s some other tidbits..

    – Evercel has lost roughly $1.5 million in each of it’s last two quarters.
    – Evercel was delisted by NASDAQ in June ’03 due to lack of company value.
    – Cabela’s has the formerly $600 EverTrolls for $399.
    – Only a 3 year warranty is given on a product advertised to last 10 years.

    Good grief… $600 batteries to do a job that $60 batteries do flawlessly. I figure I get about 400 discharge / recharge cycles out of a set, over 2 years, for about $120. After 2 years are up they start to get a bit weak and I buy a new set. With proper care the average guy will see hundreds of discharge / recharge cycles out of those same batteries and they will likely last quite a few years.
