Hating My Trailer!!!

I’m getting pretty upset and frustrated with my trailer. The rig I got, I bought slightly used just 2 years ago. In the past 2 years, I’ve gone through 4 tires (single axle trailer) and now Saturday just as I got home from vacation, the wheel hub on the port side was smokin’ like a chimney!

So besides the burnt up wheel hub, here’s the tire problems I’m having:

The tires (both sides) are wearing on the inside part of the tires. Probably got a bad toe-in problem. But also, the tires have flat-spotted areas where there’s a spot that’s bald, then tread, then bald, then tread, etc, etc as you go around the inside of the tires. I’m assuming the trailer surge breaks are locking up on me causing the tires to flatspot??? Whatever the case is, I’m only getting about 500 – 750 miles on a new set of tires.

A couple questions…..the wheel hub….is that going to be a cheap or expensive fix? It doesn’t rotate very well now and there was definitely some metal melting.

As for the toe-in on the trailer….is a realignment expensive? Easy for a dealer to fix?

And as for the flatspotting on the tires…..I don’t know what to do there.
