Lowrance MMC/SD Card Reader

    Guys,

    I just switched from Garmin to an LCX37. My question is when downloading updates to the card will my MMC/SD card reader on my printer work or do I need to purchase the external USB-MMC/SD reader? I assume this will work but just want to make sure.

    As long as you can save the files to the card from your computer you should be fine. Download the update to your card, put card in Lowrance, and turn it on. In my experience, the unit will do the rest on its own.

    You will like the lcx37. A nice size screen.
    I have the Lowrance card reader but have never needed to
    use it, the one on the computer or printer works fine.
