jig head question.

    you guys know any or where i can get any jig heads that are small but heavy. i dont like using sinkers with jig heads, and it seems that a giant jig head wont do any good. thanks.

    Look at the tungston type jigs, it is denser than lead and the jigs are then smaller.

    You are correct…however if you slow your boat speed down by slowly pushing upstream occasionally with the trolling motor you can use a light jig.
    Last week my boat did very very well drifting the river compared to many of those around us. We were vertical jigging Superdoos and grubs on 3/16oz jigs with small diameter 6# test mono…I was using 4# test! Braided line really “bellies” against the current…especially in 35 fow with a light jig.
    Small diameter mono, boat control, lighter jigs= a LOT more fish in the boat!
