First off, Happy BDay!
Is everything on the unit up to date? If not, you can download their free updates from their site, maybe that might help.
Or, you might just try doing a soft reset on the unit. I don’t remember exactly how it goes, but I think that’s on Lowrance’s site as well. Think it might be something like hitting a certain button 5 times, like the zoom(s) button or the waypoint button, can’t remember.
I used to have the 330c, then I’ve had two 332c units, and they’ve all worked extremely well for me. I do hope you’re able to get it rectified. Good luck–
Kirt, is the surface of the LGC-2000 puck free of scratches and scuffs?
On the crestliner, my puck had gotten pretty beat up by the cover and it caused reception to be intermittent at best. Eventually, the problem was solved by a new puck and a new mounting position that kept the puck away from the cover.

If I’m not mistaken both you and Kirt have covers made
with Top Gun fabric. I bought one last spring and they
added a second layer of a softer fabric over the puck.
He also told me the stuff is like sandpaper and didn’t
recommend leaving the windscreen on.
I didn’t think it would have that kind of effect on the puck though.
Hmmmm…well, the way I see it, with an external antenna you have two possibilities….you have a head unit problem or you have a puck problem.
Any chance that you have access to another copy of either? What I mean is, can you track down a spare puck and plug that into your network to see if the problem goes away? Or, can you find a spare GPS unit and plug that into your current puck to see if the problem is puck related? Unfortunately, I sold my spare puck a few weeks ago or I’d let you borrow that for some testing.
Please go to the Lowrance website and follow the self service trouble shooting guide. It will take you through all of the steps to isolate the problem. One of the steps returns error info that will help Lowrance debug the problem. One of the steps took me to a nice picture of the of the connectors with the pins labeled.

Possibly, I want to get to the sports show this weekend.
I’ll be around there some time over the weekend, but I like Jason’s idea of trying a different antenna if you can. I don’t understand why it would be going in and out if you show that you’re getting good satellite reception.
I did a complete reset with the power off then power on holding in the ? forget which button, have it at home, anyway, restarted it in the mens crisis center, seems to be working better now? Did not lose reception in the mens crisis center. I will see what it does next time out, it seems to have appeared after the software update? So maybe it needed a kick in the to get it going again
You may have done this already, but if you downloaded the new software for the 332 make sure you also download the new software for your LGC-2000 puck if it is more than a 1 1/2 old or so. They updated the 332c to accept additional NMEA features and thus required an additional upgrade to the puck as well. Hopefully this will help.
