4Stroke oil

    Probably missed it but what is everyone using for crankcase oil. Other than OEM anyone using full synthetic such as Mobil I Thanks d.j.

    I want to switch my 250 Yamaha 4 Stroke over to Amsoil synthetic in the crankcase and lower unit.However I dont see that motor listed on Amsoils website.So untill I find out what to use for sure I will stick with the Yamaha brand oil.

    I have always ran Amsoil in my motors. Went to pick some up this spring and it is now $75 for a case of 10-30. Needless to say I am not running it this year.

    Mobil 1 for me. I have Honda 50 and I do lots of trolling – the Honda 10-30 oil would turn very dark in a short time so I switched to synthetic and it seems to be much cleaner and no problems. Used to change oil 2x per season and I only change once per year now.
