Anyone know of other prop selector programs other than the one on the Merc site? I am trying to choose a proper size for a boat I just bought and have yet to drive. Merc tells me, based on my inputs that I need the 4 blade 13.75″ 17 pitch Trophy Plus. Motor is 90hp 4stroke yamaha and they have a promotion on where you get a free aluminum or $300 toward a Stainless Steel. The Yamaha website offers no help and I don’t trust the sales guy at the dealer to know enough to help me with my decision. I guess another question is, can I use the Merc prop selector to give me the size I am looking for in a Yamaha prop? Should I just take the free aluminum prop in a “normal” size for a spare and get the SS Trophy Plus as per Merc? Any advice is much appreciated.
