I am looking to buy a high quality crankbait rod,
and i don’t know what I should buy. I want the rod for casting hard to cast shad raps to wing dams. My plan was to go get a 7’6″St.Croix blank in med. light. and make my own custom crankbait throw’in rod. Everyone has good intentions but they seem to get side tracked with life, so my custom crankbait pitchen’ rod has been put on the back burner. I quess what i’am looking for is a rod that will cast them hard to throw Shad Raps a long distance to my favorite wing dams. I could pitch cranks to wingies all day long. Money is no object since I have been cigerette free for over one year and this rod will come from cigerette money. I did see a nice 7’6″spinning rod in the Berkley catalog that might work.
I must not lie; I told my wife that if I went smoke free
for a year I was going to buy a new boat. One year later my new boat is in the garage with a 150 etec & a 9.9 kicker on the back of a jet black Alumicraft. Do I still want a cigerette? yes!!! To curb my appetite for a cig I just go out to the shop and look at my new boat.
Sorry I got side tracked, anybody know of a good crankbait rod?
Got a light?
Love,
Brian
